Divorce him first, take half of his assets and make a life for yourself? No? Don't you have any friends you can stay with? Look for homeless shelters on google in your area.

I'm sorry to hear about that, though :(Advice on homeless shelters for women?
Look up women's shelter's in your area. They are designed for women only and their children if they have any. You don't need a job you don't need money. They have rules about times you leave and come in but you will at least have a roof over your head and food in your stomach. If you contact them before you leave they can help you get ready to leave (things that you may want to do before you end ties with your husband so that you will not in the end be left without anything.)

I am really sorry you are in this situation after spending so many years dedicated to him. BUT it happens. You said you were thinking of leaving soon, you didn't say right now, so...my advice is to set yourself up before you walk out the door. Obviously he is the one making the money to pay the bills try putting a little aside so when you leave you have a little money in your pocket.

The women's center can help you with things like therapy if you need it, job skills so you can get a job, and other resources so you can start a new independent life. Good luck you.
people who end up at homeless shelters..can and will receive services to get them back on track..financially and employment wise....it may be better served if you could live with a family member or friend..get services while living with them as well..
I am so sorry your in that position. I grew up in foster care and got married at 16, when my husband divorced me at 18, I had no family or friends and was completely alone. This is just a suggestion but why don't you apply to be a truck driver? Shoot, they pay for your travel for training, you get paid to drive across the country or just certain areas and it's a great time to clear your head and get your mind right while putting back some money to start your future over. You wont have to pay rent, or gas, as long as your a company driver they pay for the gas...It's not dirty, or anything like people believe. If you do really want to go to the homeless shelter, I would call the local Red Cross in your area, if they dont have a shelter in your area, they will probably be able to lead you in the right direction.
