Ok, this question is probably making you wonder, but let me explain...
I am going to be 23 yrs old on Oct. 13th and I currently work full time as a Security officer - a job that requires me to be slightly more manly and I work with ALL men. I work anywhere from 5-9 days in a row before I get 1-2 days off.
When I do get a day off I often tend to go hunting - yet another activity that is seen to be more manly.
I AM engaged, but normally when i get a day off it isn't on one of HIS days off which leaves me home alone ALL DAY!
I have two close friends, one not living anywhere around me and the other won't do anything without her bf - whom I can't stand.
So, my question is (other than going to the bar) what are some more FEMININE activities that I can get intouch with my girly side...which I am desperately missing!Women: Advice on more feminine activities?
I really don't think you need to ';balance'; your activities with feminine activities as long as you are enjoying yourself. It's really cool that you're a security guard and like to hunt: I'm sure your fiance really likes it too. I think we're far enough along in society that we don't need to expect ourselves to follow a masculine or feminine stereotype to fit in. I mean, if there are ';feminine'; things you WANT to do, like shopping or going to a day spa, by all means do them and have fun! But don't feel the need that you HAVE to do anything to be more feminine, because the only thing that matters is how you alone perceive yourself!Women: Advice on more feminine activities?
Go to a movie by yourself, a silly chick flick preferably... it's actually fun. Soak your feet and scrub them so they are soft, buy soft socks to wear afterwards. Little things can make you feel more feminine....really though, there is nothing wrong with being a bit more manly.
How does SHOPPING sound? Think of something specific you want/need. Then there's always a good book... You could rent a movie, or pick one up at the library for free! Go to Dillard's and have them give you a makeover. (for free!)
I hope something I said sounds good to you! ;)
