Need advice on a good tough women's walking shoe/boot. see more?

I take the bus to and from work, total walking distance per day just with the bus stops is 2 miles. I walk a lot on the job in between the offices. I need a good sturdy shoe that will not disintigrate in two months. I prefer boots but either way if possible I would like them to work both for walking and for the office. NEED ALL IDEAS anything!
