Need advice...women in the australian defence force...?

im 21 and want to join the navy next year..i find the concept of being surrounded by say 50 or more men rather intimidating and confronting.





how do i get over this, as i will be training with more men that women.Need advice...women in the australian defence force...?

Well, I cant say about the Aussies, but here in the US we try to integrate the women to maximum extent possible. My advise would be to find someone that served in the Aussie Navy and ask her directly. I am sorry if this answer doesn't help that much.
If you can't find any serving women to talk to you should try the some forums. There are a few good ones around but they are mostly aimed at the Army.





Women are out numbered in the ADF but it's nowhere near 50:1.
